Howdy y'all, what is good up in the hood?! This is your local coffee fanatic and Jesus loving gal over in College Station just cueing y'all in on my life! As I have come to realize, I love to write, journal, and talk. . .almost as much as I love coffee and people. So, after my vlog dropped (and shortly after flopped) I decided to cover my bases and try the blog thing out. I grew up a PK and MK (Pastors Kid and Mission Kid), and you know what they say, , ,"Once a PK, always a PK." So hello to my fellow PK's out there, and welcome to anyone else. Welcome to a blog. Not a vlog (been there, done that) about someone who really wants to share her life and how God has been working through it.
I'll just start off by saying I am a very outgoing person and love meeting new people. I'm pretty sure I can slap that label on me due to the amount of times my close friends have told me "Ohmygosh Hope you are so crazy" which really means "Ohmygosh Hope you are so outgoing!" At least thats how I take it, but whatever you want to call it, I love people. Community means a lot to me mainly due to how I grew up.
I've lived in Texas basically my whole life and my parents are both strong Christians that live the motto of "Free people...free people." So coming home to strangers in my living room going through healing prayer was the "norm" of my household. Not only was this normal but it was also all I ever knew. It wasn't until this past year that I truly realized how to live the life my parents do "oh so easily." God has opened my heart and eyes to see his overwhelming love constantly pouring over me. Had it not been for my senior year of high school move to Montana (yes Montana, that big state way up north...basically Canada...and just as cold) prompting my move back to Texas for college, my faith would not be where it is today.
I am thankful for the highs and lows and how God has used both periods in my life to reach into my heart and pull me out of the darkness into the light. He is a gracious God that gives freely to all and those who accept it are forever changed for his glory.
So, whether it be bible study or my thoughts for the day, I'd love to share my love for my father in heaven and hopefully you can come to love him as much as I do, if you don't already.
Thank you for taking the time to read and maybe even comment (wink wink). I'd love feedback and questions throughout this journey of me figuring out yet another social media outburst.
